The 2021 vintage was characterized by a mild and dry winter, except for a small snowfall at the beginning of February. Since March temperatures have remained above seasonal averages, favoring slightly earlier budding between the end of the month and the beginning of April for Sangiovese, and from the first week of April for Merlot.
