Our Chianti Superiore is a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot. The grapes are harvested by hand in small baskets and immediately transported to the cellar, they are subjected to a careful selection both for the bunches and for the individual berries. The selection takes place through two different conveyor belts. Sangiovese and merlot are vinified separately in the cellar. Both undergo a 25-30 day maceration in contact with the skins. The wines age in wood for 5 months, the Sangiovese in 2500 liter barrels and the Merlot in barriques.
At the end of this aging process, the blend is created by choosing only the best barrels. the result is a lively wine, ruby ??red in colour, with intense aromas, a harmonious and soft taste and velvety tannins.
Our Chianti Superiore is aged in the bottle for about 3-4 months and distributed only after 1st September of the year following the harvest.
