PRODUCT INFORMATION

PALEO RED
Made in 1989, this great wine is the symbol of the cellar and one of the most representative labels of
Bolgheri. Born as a classic Bordeaux blend, it will become a pure Cabernet Franc in 2001, conquering well
soon a resounding success. The name recalls that of a spontaneous herb on the Tuscan coast, to symbolize
territorial identity and ability to reach every goal.
PALEO RED | 2010
CLIMATE
In this vintage the balance of the vineyard and the very cool climate were decisive
to achieve the result we had in mind. Each step required great
care and attention, especially during the harvest. The 2010 vintage has developed
perfectly with a slow and gradual growth, mainly due to one
cool and rainy spring and a summer with perfectly average temperatures
in line with the seasonal average and little rainfall. This regularity ah
allowed to set up the sale as agreed. We have, in fact
deliberately delayed the sales period of all varieties by eliminating them
leaves to ventilate the bunches and allow maturation and concentration
optimal. Helped by splendid late summer weather, we harvested, in
excellent conditions, grapes rich in polyphenols, acidity and sugars. The strong one
temperature difference between day and night helped us maintain the aromas, so as to
give the wine great complexity.
