40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 40% Sangiovese for a vintage, 1995, recognized for stylistic perfection and masterly climatic performance. The Schidione wine from this harvest has an intense ruby red color with garnet red reflections and reveals a complex, precious and elegant nose that speaks the language of spices, withered flowers and aromatic herbs, marjoram and Mediterranean scrub, with hints of dark chocolate , China and humus. Tasting with a soft but powerful, fleshy taste attack, it demonstrates a velvety structure and an excellent fresh-savory synergy which, accompanied by a silky tannin, leads to a very long, intense aromatic persistence.
An excellent meditation wine, it goes well with wild game, important roasts of red meat and very mature cheeses.
