100% Sangiovese, single vineyard selection.
PRODUCTION AREA:
Loc. Villa a Sesta, Castelnuovo Berardenga, 420m above sea level
HARVEST:
end of September-beginning of October, upon complete achievement of phenolic and technological maturity in the Sangiovese grapes.
VINIFICATION:
vinified in vertically open tonneaux with manual punching down and alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts; it subsequently carries out malolactic fermentation in steel tanks.
AGING:
in second passage barriques for 12 months.
ORGANOLEPTIC NOTES:
Ruby red color with intense notes of red fruit and violet characteristic of Sangiovese. In the mouth it is full and persistent with tannins present due to its youth but never excessive. Savory, vinous and with good acidity, it leaves a fruity aftertaste of great overall pleasure.
PAIRINGS:
it pairs perfectly with all red meats and fresh and semi-mature cheeses.
