The Riserva Badia a Coltibuono, produced exclusively with grape varieties
native, it is a wine loved by enthusiasts as the emblem of
territory of origin. Wine of ancient tradition, as demonstrated by
historic collection preserved in the cellars of the abbey, the Reserve comes
produced only in the best harvests.

Harvest 2015: Early start after a mild winter; plentiful
rains in winter and spring. The first heat wave at the end of May,
then 10 weeks of very hot weather between mid-July and mid-August.
Mild weather in autumn, with the right amount of rain.
Easy? With Sangiovese no season is easy, but certainly one
of the best harvests of recent years. Extremely healthy grapes, almost
no use of sorting table! High yield with great quality! A
unusual combination in the past, which is becoming more and more typical a
cause of climate change.
Harvest: 9 September / 7 October
Organoleptic notes: Intense ruby red colour, elegant on the nose
balsamic notes, mixed with hints of flower petals, cherries in alcohol,
liquorice and chocolate. The taste is warm but very pleasant, with a happy
balance between great freshness and full and generous body.
