Biondi Santi's Brunello di Montalcino is a legendary wine, famous throughout the world, with roots in the distant past. A myth that has been perpetuated year after year, since the first label bearing the word Brunello was released and that, from harvest to harvest, renews the vision that inspired Clemente Santi to create the first legendary Brunello over a century ago. The 2018 vintage: an averagely cool year, with abundant rainfall throughout the entire growing cycle. In general, the summer saw temperatures below seasonal averages. The harvest period in the highest and coolest areas was anticipated by a few days of north winds that helped dry the bunches and plants well. The harvest began on September 16 and lasted 8 days with multiple rounds and strict selections of the grapes in the vineyard. Vinified in vats of various sizes and materials (concrete, wood, steel) and subsequently aged for at least three years in medium and large Slavonian oak barrels. In tasting it presents itself with a ruby ??color with light garnet reflections, accompanied by a broad olfactory bouquet: dried aromatic herbs, violet, orange peel, then berries, morello cherry and mentholated notes. On the sip it reveals a complex and refined personality, succulent and fragrant, with velvety tannins. A pleasant wine right from the start, but capable of aging excellently thanks to its characteristic acidity. A Brunello capable of exciting with every sip, vibrant, perfect to accompany any moment, from the most special to meditation.
