BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO RESERVE
DESCRIPTION
FORM
Producing Riserva, as Franco Biondi Santi taught us, is part of the tradition of Brunello di Montalcino more than CRU or single vineyards.
Given that Brunello is a very important wine, when I decide to produce Riserva I must always be sure of having something truly "fabulous" or outstanding: the best Brunello in an exceptional vintage as on average there are 3 every decade
The Riserva must also be seen as, in the panorama of a very long-lived Brunello, the wine that can truly age for decades, in fact at the beginning this wine is always much more tannic and with a more important acidity which needs a certain number of years of refinement in the bottle.
