This vineyard is located on the eastern side of
Montalcino, at an altitude between 280-310
meters above sea level Exposed to the East, the soil is of the following type:
“Pliocene marine deposits”, clayey soils with
silty sands and yellowish brown, grained sandstones
medium-fine, with interspersed thin levels of
residual conglomerates of Pietraforte.

Vinification and refinement
The alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel vats
stainless steel at controlled temperature, the times of
maceration are: two days of maceration a
cold at 10°C and 10-12 days at 25-28°C during and
after fermentation. Fermentation
malolactic fermentation takes place in concrete vats.
Subsequently the wine is refined for the first 12 years
months in barriques and tonneaux, then 12/16 months in
20-30 HL oak barrels. Finally, refinement in
bottle for 10 months.

Sensory Characteristics
The color is ruby ??red with reflections that border on the
garnet. The nose is intense, fine and elegant, with
notes of cherries in alcohol enriched by aromas of
Mediterranean spices and aromatic herbs. On the palate
all its finesse and elegance explodes thanks to
thick and silky tannins. The structure is excellent
makes the tasting harmonious and persistent. Great
nose mouth correspondence.
