The Bolgheri Rosso "Varvara" by Castello di Bolgheri embodies a noble and ancient history because his name comes from Baroness Varvara Wrangel, wife of Count Ugolino della Gherardesca; is a wine that the Castello di Bolgheri decided to start producing with the vintage 2005 with the objective of achieving a more immediate wine and ready to drink more easy and simple, without forgetting the notes of elegance, precision and smoothness that always characterized this terroir and this historic winery, founded in 1500 and dedicated to the cultivation of the vine from the second half of 1700. We are on limestone soils, rich in clay and sand; elements that give structure and elegance to this Bolgheri born from hillside vineyards placed at 70 meters above sea level, with a southern exposition. After careful selection of grapes, the must is left to ferment in contact with the skins for 20-25 days in steel, before stopping 10 months in barriques and 6 months in the bottle, thus completing an evolution that makes it soft and elegant , fresh and intense, harmonious and fulfilling. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot: the Bolgheri Rosso "Varvàra" will win you over with its notes of red fruits, dried flowers, spices, coffee and chocolate...
