Winter 2013 has been quite milder than recent years but extremely rainy. Falls continued insistently throughout the spring period until the last days of May. These conditions have inevitably caused a delay of the budding. Summer was hot, with high temperatures but never excessive.
September was particularly sunny and facilitated the first period of collection which nevertheless started much later than the average.
The rains of early October lengthened then the final stages of harvest. The harvest started with Alicante and Merlot in Florence on September the
12th and ended on October the 9th with Cabernet Sauvignon in Panzano.
This was my tenth harvest, which I believe very similar to the one of 2010.
