The Toscana Rosso La Vite Lucente from the Luce della Vite company was born in vineyards located on the hills of Montalcino, in Tuscany.
It is mainly produced with Merlot and Sangiovese grapes, harvested in September and fermented in steel at a controlled temperature of around 28°C for 12 days. The wine is left to macerate on the skins for 22 days, then undergoes malolactic fermentation in steel. It then matures in new and second passage French oak barriques and to a small extent in American oak barriques before being bottled.
It is a wine with an intense purplish red color. The scent is rich and complex, with notes of ripe fruit such as vignola cherry, raspberry and currant and pleasant balsamic hints of eucalyptus and mint, enriched by notes of rosemary and sage and toasted nuances of coffee and hazelnut. On the palate it is round and velvety, with fine and silky tannins perfectly integrated with the alcoholic component. The aftertaste presents light nuances of fresh almond which contribute to giving elegance and balance to the wine.
