The Toscana Rosso La Vite Lucente of the Luce della Vite company was born in vineyards on the hills of Montalcino, in Tuscany.
It is produced in September with Merlot and Sangiovese grapes, harvested in September and fermented in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of about 28 ° C for 12 days. The wine is left to macerate on the skins for 22 days, then undergoes the malolactic fermentation process in steel. It is then aged in new and second passage French oak barrels and a small part in American oak barrels before being bottled.
It is a wine with an intense purplish red color. The bouquet is rich and complex, with notes of ripe fruit such as vignola cherry, raspberry and currant and pleasant balsamic hints of eucalyptus and mint, enriched by notes of rosemary and sage and toasted nuances of coffee and hazelnut. On the palate it is round and velvety, with fine and silky tannins perfectly integrated with the alcoholic component. The aftertaste has slight nuances of fresh almond which I select to give elegance and balance to the wine.
