Fontalloro is a single-variety Sangiovese that matures for up to 20 months in new and two-year-old barriques. Bright ruby color with a light garnet edge, mineral, woody-fruity aroma of cherry, cedar, blueberry and hazelnut. With aeration, the flavors become increasingly complex and the influence of the terroir very clear. On the palate it is compact and very present, with fine tannins and classic proportions. Very high aging potential and annually one of the best Sangiovese in central Tuscany
