Founded in 1984 as a classic multi-crop farm, Salcheto is today a winemaking reality with 58 hectares of organic vineyards that operates in one of the most ecologically advanced cellars. Over 30 years after its birth, the company expresses itself with an innovative image that reflects its path and the achievements achieved: local wines and Sangiovese increasingly focused on drinkability and aromatic precision, with vinifications entirely without sulphites and indigenous yeasts; an “off-grid” winery (energy autonomous) and a model company in integrated environmental management (GHG, Water, Biodiversity) which boasts, among other things, world records in the indexation of Carbon and Water Footprint; a very special bottle, the Bordolese Toscanella, whose elegant shapes recall the ancient history of Tuscan wine but which also represents the lightest and most ecological bottle available on the market. This journey culminates in Salco, the company’s most mature vineyard and symbol of the excellence of Salcheto wines with its “cru” of pure Sangiovese.
