This vineyard is located on the eastern side of Montalcino, at an altitude of between 260-310 meters above sea level. Facing north/northeast, the soil is of the type: "Formazione della Pietraforte", clayey soils with compacted sandstone banks with very variable thicknesses from centimeter to meter, of an intense brown color. Grape variety Sangiovese 100% Plant density 4,500 plants/hectare Production per hectare 8,000 kg of grapes Harvest The grapes are harvested by hand at the end of September Vinification and refinement The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, the maceration times are: two days of cold maceration at 10°C and 5-6 days at 25-28°C during fermentation. Malolactic fermentation takes place in concrete vats. The wine is then aged for 10/12 months in oak barrels of 20-30 HL. Bottles produced 15,000 Alcohol 14% Sensory characteristics The color is ruby ??red, the nose has a clear and intense aroma. It recalls small red and black fruits, enriched with balsamic notes. On the palate it has a good structure, full, balanced, with silky tannins. Good persistence with a fresh finish that recalls the first olfactory notes.
