Great red wine. It takes its name from Montepulciano, a Renaissance city in the province of Siena that dominates the wide and green Valdichiana from the top of a hill. The name “Nobile” seems to derive not only from its intrinsic qualities of finesse and elegance, but also from the fact that in the past the production of this wine was particularly cared for by the noble families of the city.
Fermentation with maceration of the skins in the must for a period of ten, fifteen days at a temperature constantly maintained at 25-30°C.
Placed for 2 years in oval Slavonian oak barrels with a capacity of 5,500 liters and in 225 liter French oak barrels, in a cellar at room temperature.
In bottles for a minimum of 6 months, in an environment with controlled temperature and humidity.
Marketing, however, always begins one year later than the terms established by the production specifications.
