Description Our Chianti superiore is a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot. The grapes are hand-picked in small baskets and immediately transported to the cellar, and are subjected to a careful selection both for the bunches and for the individual grapes. The selection takes place through two different conveyor belts. Sangiovese and Merlot are vinified separately in the cellar. Both undergo a 25-30 day maceration in contact with the skins. The wines age in wood for 12 months, the Sangiovese in 2500-liter barrels and the Merlot in barriques.
At the end of this aging, we create the blend by choosing only the best barrels. The result is a lively wine, ruby ??red in color, with intense aromas, a harmonious and soft taste and velvety tannins.
Our Chianti Superiore is refined in the bottle for about 5 months and distributed only after September 1st of the year following the harvest.
