Produced in the oldest production area, as stated in the regulations that regulate it, this area has given its name to the wine and is the only one where Chianti Classico is produced. It extends between Florence and Siena in a territory of heartbreaking beauty, made up of villages perched on the tops of hills, olive trees cultivated in steep fields with irregular contours and cypress trees lined up to delimit the countless dirt roads.
Grapes used
Sangiovese, Canaiolo and other red grape varieties.
Vinification
Medium-duration red maceration, with controlled fermentation temperature.
Maturation
Placed in oak barrels of different capacities and origins (Slavonian and French) for 12 months or more, then transferred to steel or enameled concrete tanks.
Bottle aging
Long aging in bottle in an environment with controlled temperature and humidity.
