The Colonia vineyard takes its name from a heliotherapy colony, the vineyard is a project of the Poggiali family and was born from the hard work of replanting begun in 1966 by grandfather Domenico and his son Giuseppe until the 70s, a project abandoned in the mid 80s due to excessive difficulty in digging and resumed by grandson Giovanni in 1991. The three generations of Poggiali joined forces and finally managed to plant the vines in 1993. After planting the vineyard, the following year grandfather Domenico died, leaving a symbolic value for everyone and a handover between generations.
