PRODUCTION AREA

USE OF GRAPES
100% Sangiovese, coming from the combination of internally selected clones.
PRODUCTION METHOD
The grape harvest is followed by alcoholic fermentation and maceration for 12-13 days in combined Horizon steel and wood vats at a controlled temperature (27-29°C). Aged for 2 years for 90% in French oak barriques - made according to company production specifications - and for the remaining 10% in Slavonian oak barrels, before being released on the market the wine is aged in the bottle for another 12 months.
THE WINEMAKER'S COMMENT
A Brunello di Montalcino that comes from 20 years of Banfi research on Sangiovese, representing the best synthesis of territory, selection and technological innovation. Complex but immediately captivating, with a muscular and tonic body, amazing in power and softness, with very sweet and gentle tannins.
