Brunello di Montalcino Marroneto is one of the reference labels in the Montalcino area, among the most loved by connoisseurs. Son of a particularly suitable terroir and made with passion and artisanal care, it is one of the most interesting expressions of pure Sangiovese Grosso. The ability to combine intensity and elegance, complexity and smoothness, is surprising for its stylistic precision and longevity. It is a prestigious bottle, to bring to the table on a special evening and to be enjoyed with a slice of Chianina or roasted game.
Marroneto Brunello di Montalcino was born in the area north of the village of Montalcino, in the Madonna delle Grazie area. The estate extends over 6 hectares, with old terraced vineyards, which produce high quality grapes. The wines are only among the best excellences of the denomination, protected by an elegant and always impeccable style. The Sangiovese Grosso vineyards are located at an altitude of approximately 400 meters and are grown on soils mainly made up of sands of ancient marine origin, rich in mineral elements. At the end of the harvest operations, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with maceration on the skins for a dozen days. The wine matures in large oak barrels for 39 months and ends the refinement period in the bottle, leaving the company cellars 5 years after the harvest.
Brunello from the Il Marroneto winery is a wine of great charm, which is part of the elite of the best labels of the denomination. In the glass it has a beautiful garnet red colour, lively and bright. The olfactory profile is refined and intense, with floral aromas of violet, morello cherry, small red berries, spicy hints, notes of undergrowth, leather, liquorice root, aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean and balsamic scrub. On the palate it is elegant, with delicate, complex aromas and a dense and velvety tannic texture, which envelops the sip in a harmonious way, accompanying it towards a very fresh and persistent finish. An absolutely unmissable Brunello, which reaches full expressive maturity after a few years of refinement in the cellar.
