Denomination: Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin.
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese
Planting density: 4500 plants per hectare
Altitude: 350/400 asl
Soil: sandy-clayey with fossils and marls
Vinification: removal of stalks, soft pressing, fermentation
in steel at a controlled temperature of 28°-30°C,
maceration on the skins for about 20-25 days with
extraction technique done with delestage (one to the
week) and pumping overs which are reduced during
the proceedings
Type of ageing: aged for a minimum of 30 months in barrels
32HL of Slavonian oak. Followed by another 4 months of
bottle refinement.
Aging potential: 10-20 years depending on the vintage
Colour: bright red with typical garnet red reflections
Bouquet: intense with hints of black berries, cherry
cherry and noble woods
