TASTING NOTES Ruby red chalice. On the nose, elegant nuances of small red fruits, wild herbs and rose petals, licorice and tobacco, with dusty and mineral hints. Palate aristocratic, gentle, with velvety tannins and already beautifully balanced, albeit with incredible aging potential.
PAIRINGS Le Ragnaie's Brunello di Montalcino goes splendidly with refined game dishes or noble red meats. Sublime with a venison fillet in a red fruit sauce.
CELLAR Le Ragnaie is a small company located in the Montalcino area.
BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO DOCG 2011 - THE RAGNAIE: WHY WE LIKE IT Le Ragnaie's Brunello comes from the company's two main vineyards: 50% "Ragnaie" and the other 50% from the "Castelnuovo dell'Abate" vineyard. The Brunello 2011 was vinified in concrete vats with a long maceration on the skins for 40 days, with aging for 3 years in Slavonian oak barrels. A memorable vintage for all of Tuscany, Le Ragnaie's Brunello 2011 is the perfect synthesis of the path that Riccardo Campinoti has covered in just 10 years: his Brunello is today the result of a great winemaker.
