TASTING NOTES
At sight it is garnet in color, with an orange nail. The bouquet of perfumes on the nose is concentrated, and revolves around violet, dried fruit, cigar, coffee, pink pepper and slight mineral touches. On the palate it has an excellent structure, with a remarkable tannic grip and a vein that refreshes the sip. Closes with a long finish.
PAIRINGS
It goes very well with dishes with elaborate preparations based on meat and game. We also recommend trying it in combination with recipes with truffles.
CELLAR
The town of Montalcino, with its enchanting landscapes, rises not far from the city of Siena, on a hilly complex on the northwest side of Monte Amiata.
BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO DOCG - ROMITORIO CASTLE.
Brunello di Montalcino and Castello Romitorio: a truly fruitful and almost inseparable combination, of which this DOCG represents the first step, almost an initiation rite necessary before tasting the more demanding Riserva and "Filo di Seta". A bottle with incredible aromas, which surprises us with a refreshing sip, which makes the tannins more slippery and less aggressive. After fermentation, the grapes are aged for 12 months in oak wood, and for another 14 months in Slavonian wood. An enfant prodige who already gives emotions, but who in the future will amaze even more for complexity and depth.
