Family

The brothers Maria Iris and Claudio Tipa, who have always shared a passion for nature and great wines, have realized their dream by creating a "Domaine" in Tuscany. Today's ColleMassari includes three estates: since 1998 the Castello di ColleMassari, since 2002 the Podere Grattamacco and since 2011 the Fattoria Poggio di Sotto.

ColleMassari Castle
It was born in 1998 and is included in the DOCG Montecucco in Alta Maremma, between the DOCGs of Brunello di Montalcino and Morellino di Scansano, enjoying ideal conditions for the breeding of Sangiovese. The first thousandth product was in 2000.

Grattamacco
It was born at the end of the 70s and is included in the Bolgheri DOC where it promptly captures the market's interest in this new cradle of Cabernet Sauvignon in Italy. The first vintage produced is from 1982, the result of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with Sangiovese and Merlot.

Poggio di Sotto
It was born in 1989 and is unanimously considered one of the true classics of Brunello di Montalcino DOCG. It is certainly one of the most famous and awarded companies by Italian and foreign wine critics, not only for Brunello, but also for its Rosso di Montalcino DOC. The first thousandth produced dates back to 1991.
