Giacomo Conterno has been producing wine since 1920 when the wines were produced from grapes purchased in the best vineyards of Serralunga d'Alba and Monforte d'Alba. Over the years the vineyards have been purchased, until reaching the current 17 hectares cultivated following the principles of integrated pest management. The varieties grown are Nebbiolo and Barbera, both grown in the Cascina Francia and Ceretta vineyards. In the cellar there is a cleanliness and rigor of notable quality, every barrel, every steel tank, every tool are in perfect order, ready to interact to create the magnificent wines known throughout the world, such as this Barolo harvested in mid-October, whose harvesting and selection process is done manually. The fermentation lasts 30-40 days, the malolactic fermentation is completed completely, the maturation takes place in oak barrels for about 48 months.
