Climate trend
The balance is very positive especially for the excellent quality level of the grapes harvested. Spring 2009, as in previous years, was marked by persistent rains which put the winegrowers to the test for their vegetation management and health protection work, but at the same time they replenished the aquifers well. The months of June and July 2009, on the other hand, were characterized by discrete rainfall which made up for the spring vegetative delay and brought about an early maturation. The vines thus worked at their best and the grapes ripened slightly earlier than last year. Furthermore, the cool nights and warm, sunny days that followed in September meant that the grapes could reach full maturity and produce high quality wines. The favorable seasonal trend offered the best conditions for bringing ripe fruit to the cellar, with the right acidity and good aromatic complexity.
