Another hot and dry year with a particularly dry spring, so much so that there were noticeable cracks in the soil already in April. For the first time, the use of vegetable mulches (straw and mown grass) is resorted to in the most marly areas, to protect the soil from excessive dehydration. The particularly arid year required a significant thinning of the bunches, in the order of 50%, to help the plants continue the maturation of the fruit without incurring unwanted wilting. In line with the new stylistic direction aimed at seeking greater minerality and tension, the harvest is concentrated in the first 10 days of September, ensuring a harvest of firm and crunchy fruit.
