Grapes:
75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Sangiovese, 5% Cabernet
Franc
Climate:
Season characterized by a mild and pleasant autumn,
with average temperatures and little rain. Winter with
cold temperatures and adequate rainfall in the period
of the year. Spring has started with quite the weather
dry and fresh, so much so that the important phases of the
budding and above all flowering have elapsed
with a slight delay compared to the average over the years
passed; the months of April and May, on the other hand, have
guaranteed good rainfall, which resulted
essential to support the long summer drought which, a
starting from June and up to the whole month of August, ha
conditioned the development of plants, both in the walls
leaves and in the size and weight of the bunches. The much
expected rains of the last days of August have been
essential for rebalancing the plants, allowing a
all varieties continue with regular processes
maturation. The months of September and October, both
mild and rather rainy, they allowed the grapes to
evolve both in the sugar maturation, and in that
aromatic and phenolic; the collections were concentrated between the
September 25th and October 10th, requesting careful e
precise manual selections on the bunches at the time of
harvest in the vineyard and on the grapes along the sorting tables
before pressing.
