Rosso di Montalcino Doc One of the best expressions of Sangiovese Thanks to the incredible and unique terroir of Poggio di Sotto, together with the expressiveness of the Sangiovese, this Rosso di Montalcino can easily compete with some of the Brunellos of the Denomination. With delicate notes of raspberry and blackcurrant, spices, aromatic herbs and cedar, proves to be a very elegant and refined wine. Concentrated and complex on the palate with a well-balanced fresh note. Pure elegance with the finesse of a Burgundy. COMBINATIONS Steak, grilled meat, roast, game, mushroom or truffle risotto, cheese seasoned COME SERVE HIM Serve at 16-18°C WINEMAKING A wine produced from vineyards located 200, 300 and 450 meters above sea level, with a different exposure. The production area is in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, in the river valley Orcia. The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in 15-20 kg containers. The yield is 30-35 quintals per hectare. After maturation, they are immediately subjected to a rigorous selection process. Winemaking occurs after spontaneous fermentation wooden barrels. The wine remains in 30 hl oak barrels for 24 months and another 6 months in the bottle before the sale.
