Rhum Agricole are those rums produced from pure cane juice from a single distillery and continuously distilled with a créole column. They represent the most authentic and elegant rums where unique aromas are combined thanks to the refinement in wood at high temperatures such as those of the Caribbean. Here, heat-accelerated aging reduces quantity while increasing quality and complexity. This is why they are opposed to industrial rums designed to reduce quality in favor of quantity. The Maison Clément has been producing Rhum Vieux Agricole since 1887, respecting the rules of the A.O.C. Homère Clément was the first to use the purity and richness of cane juice which are still essential today in the production of a perfectly natural rum.
