Mas de Daumas Gassac is a French wine producer from the Languedoc region, classified as Vin de Pays de l`Hérault as it uses vine varieties not permitted by its Appellation d`origine contrôlée (AOC). It produces both reds and whites and is located in the south of France, in the municipality of Aniane. Despite its modest name and location, it has received unanimous approval: for the US newspaper The Times it is as good as a “Latour” and for the French magazine GaultMillau it is the “Lafite Rothschild of Languedoc-Roussillon”.
