The Camossi family has its roots in Franciacorta, always dedicating itself with passion to the cultivation of the land, the vineyards and the production of wine.
Born as breeders and winemakers with their grandfather Pietro Camossi, they converted the company to wine production in the early nineties, making their first Franciacorta in 1996. Starting from the 2002 harvest, Pietro's nephews, Dario and Claudio, joined the company. who support their grandfather and parents in the winemaking management of the cellar. 2002 also marks the year of meeting with Nico Danesi, oenologist and technical figure of TerraUomoCielo, a project that unites various Franciacorta wineries, whose aim is to safeguard the local agricultural heritage, contributing to the creation of sparkling wines with a precise identity and communicating their unique and unrepeatable characteristic to the market.
The idea is to discover a wine that is the expression of the unique elements that make up a territory called Franciacorta. With the 2014 harvest, the Camossi company began making wine according to the SoloUva Method.
The method is based on a simple concept: grapes are a fruit and as such they should be harvested when ripe. In all phases of winemaking, the sugar produced by the grape itself is used with the aim of obtaining a product that is the natural expression of the fruit, without having to use other sugars such as sucrose.
