In 2019 Riecine, after years of managing the Gittori vineyard, becomes one
owner, and the idea of dedicating a part of this plot to a Gran
Riecine style selection is also realized thanks to a perfect vintage
from all points of view.
The grapes are selected in the vineyard and in the cellar before being destemmed and fermented
in non-vitrified Nomblot cement vats. After 25 days of maceration the
wine is decanted into 500 liter barrels more than four years old. Here they remain
for 24 months, at the end of which the wine is bottled. Chianti Classico
Gran Selezione Vigna Gittori is aged for a further six months in the bottle
before being marketed.
