Cave Privée brings together in an exceptional collection of vintage champagnes from very great years which, because of their high aging potential, have been kept for several decades in the house's chalk pits, in Reims. Launched in 2010 by cellar master Dominique Demarville to mark the bicentenary of Veuve Clicquot, new vintages are regularly offered as they reach their peak. A blend of many Premier Crus and Grand Crus from the Montagne de Reims, the Côte des Blancs and the Marne Valley, this champagne combines Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with talent. After more than thirty years on the lees, this cuvée retains an astonishing freshness, revealing on the nose notes of citrus fruits and white flowers, which evolve in a second time towards more evolved aromas of dried fruits and honey. After a frank attack, the mouth unfolds with finesse, revealing a remarkable balance and a beautiful spicy frame. A revelation.
