Krug Rosé 25ème Edition
Krug Rosé was born from the dream of the fifth generation of the Krug family: to give life to an unprecedented, bold and elegant rosé champagne. The cuvée is renewed every year, and in each of its editions it remains faithful to this tradition.
Krug Rosé 25ème Édition is a blend of 28 wines from 5 different vintages. The youngest is dated 2013, the oldest 2008.
Thus, in addition to serving as a reference for collectors who will taste it years later, the edition number represents the times in which, in the Maison Krug, the dream of the fifth generation was realized.
Like all Krug Champagnes, Krug Rosé 25ème Édition will improve over time.
The full story of each edition is told online, and accessible through the Krug iD, the six digits of which are printed on the label.
The final composition consists of 45% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 25% Meunier. The cut therefore essentially consists of a traditionally macerated Pinot Noir, which gives the champagne a spicy character as well as color and structure. An aging of about seven years in the cellars of the Maison Krug defines all the refined elegance of Krug Rosé.
Krug Rosé, the most rebellious of Krug champagnes, is the ideal companion on daring gastronomic adventures: a perfect synthesis of grace, depth and generosity, the cuvée will enhance all the tastiest dishes, as a great red wine would. This champagne will thus be perfect as an accompaniment to a foie gras, a dish of lamb, game, white meat, venison and even spicy dishes.
