This vineyard is located on the eastern side of
Montalcino, at an altitude between 260-280
meters above sea level Facing north, the soil is of the following type:
“Deposits of the Ruscinian and Villafranchian”,
clayey soils with conglomerates and gravels, are
matrix deposits of continental – lacustrine origin
sandy clayey, they appear with a
red coloration.

Vinification and refinement
The alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel vats
stainless steel at controlled temperature, the times of
maceration are: two days of maceration a
cold at 10°C and 10-12 days at 25-28°C during and
after fermentation. Fermentation
malolactic fermentation takes place in concrete vats.
Subsequently the wine is aged for 24/28
months in 20-30 HL oak barrels. In the end,
bottle aging for 10 months.

Sensory Characteristics
The color is ruby ??red with a slight tendency to
garnet. The nose is intense and complex,
spicy, with dominant notes of morello cherry. On the palate
the olfactory phase continues. To the taste it is
full, harmonious and persistent, with dense tannins and
silky.
