The Seggio is the largest watercourse in the municipality of Castagneto Carducci. It arises from the metalliferous hills of Sassetta, an area already known at the time of the Etruscans, extremely rich in ferrous mineral deposits underground. It crosses the entire Bolgheri area and its alluvial debris enriches the characteristic clayey soils with precious pebbles, thus ensuring excellent soil drainage. This Bolgheri Rosso is produced with typical varieties of grapes, carefully harvested and vinified to guarantee depth and concentration, but also great freshness and drinkability.
