The Barolo red wine “Sorì Ginestra” is one of the heavyweights of the entire denomination, which must be tasted at least once in a lifetime. In fact, with every sip the beauty of the Nebbiolo cultivated in one of the most important crus of the Langhe emerges, where the typical aromas of the varietal mix with the tertiary scents deriving from the long period of refinement. An almost mythological bottle signed by Conterno Fantino, a collector's item for those who love investing in the world of wine, or a memorable drink for those who want to immediately indulge in the luxury of a label with unforgettable features!
This Barolo “Sorì Ginestra” comes from pure Nebbiolo grapes, grown right inside the cru that gives its name to the label. The vines, whose age is between 30 and 45 years, grow within a terroir facing south, composed of a subsoil in which, alongside a significant percentage of silt, we also find clay and sand. The grapes, grown organically and manually selected during the harvest by the Conterno Fantino team, ferment and macerate in contact with the skins in horizontal steel fermenters for 8-15 days. We then proceed with the refinement phase, carried out first for 24 months in barrique and then, after bottling, for another 12 months directly in glass.
The “Sorì Ginestra” is a Barolo which, in the glass, develops with a very deep garnet colour. The range of perfumes that traces the olfactory profile of this label moves on sensations of withered flowers, embellished with notes of fruit and distant hints of spices. When tasted, it has an excellent body, important, with a refined sip, which flows impeccably on the palate thanks to perfectly crafted tannins. A great Piedmontese red wine, with which the Conterno Fantino winery ranks at the top of the entire denomination.
