GRAPE VARIETY
100% Gewürztraminer
WINEMAKING
Before fermentation, a 6-hour maceration takes place on the skins. The grapes
they are then softly pressed and the must undergoes static clarification.
It is subsequently fermented in steel tanks at a specific temperature
controlled temperature of 18°C. The wine subsequently ages for a few months on its own yeasts
in stainless steel containers.
TASTING
Gewürztraminer releases all the charm of Alto Adige in its harmonious notes
shade of bright yellow with golden reflections. The characteristics of this vine
are reflected in its intensely aromatic bouquet, which ranges from notes of
rose petals, flowers and spices. In the mouth it releases all its finesse with one
fresh body, harmonious elegance and intense finish.
TERROR
From the cradle of Gewürztraminer, with its light soils characterized by a strong
calcareous presence, but also by a deep sandy and porphyritic vein.
Warm areas with excellent sunshine accompanied at dusk by a cool one
mountain breeze that gives Gewürztraminer typicality and elegance.
HARVEST 2023
With great pleasure we announce the arrival of a promising vintage! After a typical spring, a phase
fresh in May slightly delayed the vegetative period, resulting in only the onset of flowering
towards the end of this month. The high temperatures, and the drought of June and July, then slowed down
the development of the vine again and have, so to speak, normalized it. At the beginning of August the
long-awaited rains, providing the vines with the water they needed. The meticulous work in the vineyard gave i
its fruits, despite the challenging climate with hot periods contrasted with cool periods with rain.
Thanks to the "golden South Tyrolean autumn", the grapes were finally able to benefit from conditions for a long time
optimal climate and above all lots of sun, to the point that the start of the harvest was postponed
compared to the "historic" date of the beginning of September. In terms of quality, the 2023 vintage expresses itself with levels of
very balanced acidity, a characteristic fruit and a good structure.
