Nervi - Jefferson sparkling wine - 2017
The only sparkling wine produced by the winery, it is a dedication to the American president Thomas Jefferson who tasted Gattinara for the first time in 1787 and praised Nebbiolo as a grape of the highest quality even then. A classic vintage method produced only with Nebbiolo grapes which are harvested a month before in order to still have an acidity gradient, are fermented in steel tanks and subsequently refined on the lees for 36 months. A rosé bubble with a lot of value, complex aromas of fruit that evolve into citrus, soft on the palate with total freshness and strong minerality in perfect balance.
