Poggetto di Sopra has a bright scarlet red color of medium intensity. The rich olfactory bouquet opens with small red fruits, raspberry and wild strawberry, floral notes of violet and blackberry with a long-lasting balsamic finish. In the mouth it is vibrant and medium-bodied, with the substance that only the best Sangiovese can provide. The fleshy and crunchy fruit is accompanied by a ripe and enveloping tannin. The wood is well integrated into the varietal, with light nuances of vanilla and undergrowth.
