The Camossi family has its roots in Franciacorta, always dedicating itself with passion to the cultivation of the land, the vineyards and the production of wine.
Born as breeders and winegrowers with their grandfather Pietro Camossi, they converted the company to the production of wine in the early nineties, making their first Franciacorta in 1996. Starting from the 2002 harvest, the grandchildren of Pietro, Dario and Claudio joined the company. who support their grandfather and parents in the winemaking management of the winery. 2002 also marks the year of meeting with Nico Danesi, oenologist and technical figure of TerraUomoCielo, a project that unites various Franciacorta wineries, whose purpose is to safeguard the local agricultural heritage, contributing to the creation of wines with a precise identity. and communicating their unique and unrepeatable characteristic to the market.
The idea is to discover a wine that is the expression of the unique elements that make up a territory called Franciacorta. With the 2014 harvest, the Camossi company begins to make wine according to the SoloUva Method.
The method is based on a simple concept: grapes are a fruit and as such should be harvested when ripe. In all stages of winemaking, the sugar produced by the grape itself is used in order to obtain a product that is the natural expression of the fruit, without having to use other sugars such as sucrose.
The Camossi company owns 24 hectares located in three Franciacorta municipalities: Erbusco, where we find the winery and where most of the owned vineyards are located, Paratico, in the extreme west of Franciacorta, overlooking Lake Iseo, where almost exclusively the Pinot Nero and Provaglio d'Iseo, in the hamlet of Provezze.
