PRODUCTION AREA:
Loc. Villa a Sesta, Castelnuovo Berardenga, 420m above sea level
HARVEST:
late September-early October, when the Sangiovese grapes reach full phenolic and technological maturity.
Vinification:
the must is vinified in stainless steel at a controlled temperature where alcoholic fermentation takes place with subsequent maceration on the skins for about 40 days; malolactic fermentation then takes place in cement tanks.
Aging:
36 months in second passage tonneaux
Organoleptic notes:
it has an intense ruby ??red color tending towards garnet. Fruity aroma with notes of violet and red berry fruit well balanced with hints of oak and spices. Harmonious, intense, with good structure, elegant and of great overall pleasantness with a sweet and soft finish with evident toasted notes.
Pairings:
perfect with red meat dishes, as well as with tasty or mature cheeses.
