More curiosities
Still of Burgundian inspiration is the Chardonnay Colline Teatine IGT Marina Cvetic: the first international vine planted by Gianni Masciarelli in Abruzzo in the mid-eighties, demonstrating that his Abruzzo could have met the challenge of the great cousins ??from beyond the Alps, the first vintage it was produced in 1991. Produced from the vineyards of San Martino sulla Marrucina, close to the Majella, it is affected by the powerful influence of the sea and the mountains which contribute to the full phenolic maturity of the grapes. On the nose, the Chardonnay stands out with extremely pronounced notes of lemon curd, spices, jasmine, guava peel, vanilla and cloves. Very flavorful and almost buttery on the palate, with fleshy tropical fruit creating a real sense of texture. An important acidity leads to the long finish. A wine to keep in the cellar or drink immediately
