CHAMPAGNE BRUT BLANC DE BLANCS DOM RUINART 2010
Not a simple Blanc de Blancs, but a tribute to Chardonnay in a rare and prestigious Champagne label, with a fresh and complex taste. Dom Ruinart is the Champagne line dedicated to the founder of the maison, Dom Thierry Ruinart. The first vintage was produced in 1959 to enhance the Chardonnay grapes from Grand Cru vineyards. In particular, 82% of the grapes come from the Côte des Blancs (Cramant, Avize, Chouilly and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger) and 18% from the northern slope of the Montagne de Reims (Sillery).
The grapes are harvested manually. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The base wines also undergo malolactic fermentation, which is at the origin of the famous creaminess of the Ruinart style. After a 9-year maturation on the lees, the low dosage (4 g/l) helps to make this Champagne an emblem of elegance and body.
