Excellent harvest in every respect: climatic conditions during the harvest, health of the grapes, perfect ripeness and balanced quantity on the vine, favored an interesting thickness of the skin and an excellent sugary juice. The '97 vintage was poorer than expected but it is an exceptional vintage, probably superior to 1990.
