Giacomo Conterno has been producing wine since 1920 when the wines were produced from grapes purchased in the best vineyards of Serralunga d'Alba and Monforte d'Alba. Over the years the vineyards have been purchased, up to the current 17 hectares cultivated following the principles of integrated pest management. The cultivated varieties are Nebbiolo and Barbera, both grown in the Cascina Francia and Ceretta vineyards. In the cellar there is a cleanliness and rigor of remarkable quality, every barrel, every steel tank, every tool is in perfect order, ready to interact to create the magnificent wines known throughout the world, such as this Barolo sold in mid-October, whose collection and selection process is done manually. The fermentation lasts 30-40 days, the malolactic fermentation is completely carried out, the maturation takes place in oak barrels for about 48 months.
