Giacomo Conterno has been producing wine since 1920 when the wines were produced from grapes purchased in the best vineyards of Serralunga d'Alba and Monforte d'Alba. Over the years the vineyards have been purchased, up to the current 17 hectares cultivated following the principles of integrated pest control. The cultivated varieties are Nebbiolo and Barbera, both grown in the Cascina Francia and Ceretta vineyards. In the cellar there is a cleanliness and rigor of notable quality, every barrel, every steel tank, every tool are in perfect order, ready to interact to create the magnificent wines known throughout the world, like this Barolo harvested in mid-October, whose collection and selection process occurs manually. Fermentation lasts 30-40 days, malolactic fermentation is carried out completely, maturation takes place in oak barrels for approximately 48 months.
